A high-quality, water-repellent care balm that has been specially developed to protect sensitive and lightly pigmented skin areas of horses from harmful UV radiation, wind, cold, and dehydration. The gentle, nourishing formula creates a long-lasting protective layer and is ideal for the nose, lips, eyelids, and other vulnerable skin areas that are exposed daily to pressure and weather influences.

The balm combines rapeseed oil, macadamia oil, shea butter, lanolin and beeswax into an intensely caring formula that nourishes, soothes, and helps maintain the skin's natural moisture balance. This rich combination supports the skin barrier, prevents dehydration, and keeps the skin supple and comfortable.

Thanks to zinc oxide, a natural mineral UV filter, HYDRAFIX LIP & NOSE BALM helps protect sensitive skin areas from the harmful effects of sun radiation.

Pentavitin® binds to the skin like a natural moisture magnet and provides long-lasting hydration for up to 72 hours, even after washing. This keeps the skin supple, comfortable, and optimally hydrated for a long time.*

Vitamin E protects the skin against oxidative stress and free radicals.

The formula is also enriched with Defensil® from the Swiss company Rahn, a patented plant-based active complex based on Cardiospermum halicacabum, Echium plantagineum seed oil and sunflower extract. Defensil® supports the natural skin barrier, helps to soothe sensitive or irritated skin, reduces redness, and supports the skin's natural recovery. This makes HYDRAFIX LIP & NOSE BALM particularly suitable for horses with sensitive, dry, or sun-irritated skin.

General use

  • In case of severe irritations, wounds or damaged skin 1-2 times a day

    Apply a generous layer 2 to 4 times a day on clean, dry skin. Repeat the application until the skin is fully calmed and natural recovery is visible. If necessary, the balm can remain as a protective layer on the skin.

  • For irritated or sensitive skin 3-4 times a week

    Apply a thin layer depending on sensitivity to the sensitive areas of the skin, such as the nose, lips, eyelids, or other exposed areas. Regular use helps to soften, hydrate, and support the natural skin barrier.

  • Preventive – protection of sensitive skin Apply as deemed necessary

    Apply a thin layer to sensitive or lightly pigmented skin before exposure to sun, wind, cold, or other weather influences. Repeat application as necessary throughout the day, especially during prolonged exposure to sunlight or after intense sweating or washing.
